Welcome to the Darley International Student Program. This is a full time, two year, international management training for potential thoroughbred industry leaders. It sets itself apart from any other program in the world with its focus on personal development and leadership and the specialization in the international thoroughbred business. Management training is provided by established universities including University College Dublin and University of Sydney. Individual work placements are completed with leading thoroughbred industry organizations and individuals. During the programme, trainees live and learn in Ireland, UK, USA, Dubai and Australia. Each trainee receives a full scholarship from HH Sheikh Mohammed of Dubai.
Graduates of the programme are employed in the UK, USA, Dubai, France, Australia, Hong Kong, Canada, India, Japan, Ireland, New Zealand, Brazil, China and South Africa. The Darley Flying Start alumni form a global network in established and emerging racing nations.
Applications are accepted on an annual basis and 12 candidates are selected each year. Typically, successful candidates have a strong academic background, full time work experience in the thoroughbred industry and strong leadership qualities. Applications

Life on Darley Flying Start has come full circle for the twelve seasoned second years, as we have returned to Kildangan Stud, where our adventure began almost two years ago. Around the world we have been exposed to every facet of the thoroughbred industry and now our focus turns to entrepreneurship and the completion of our final business plans.
