2009 Darley Flying Start Trainees’ Conference

Over the two-year course, the trainees are required to complete a number of assignments and to present papers to invited industry audiences.

The Annual Darley Flying Start Conference was held on October at the PGA National Golf Club in Naas, Co. Kildare. Over 75 guests attended including racecourse managers, trainers, bloodstock agents, stud managers, veterinary surgeons, representatives of the Irish Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association, Irish Racehorse Trainers’ Association, Racing Academy Centre of Education, Irish Thoroughbred Marketing, Irish Equine Centre and University College Dublin Vet school. Each trainee gave a 15 minute presentation on the topic of the Irish racing product and was graded on their performance as part of their communications module.

The video clips are in WMV format and each loads in a new window.
